Kerstins Camping
is a converted farm dating back to 1567 near Mellerud, in the middle of scenic Dalsland.
In our quiet courtyard environment, we offer well-sized, well-marked camping pitches on flat ground for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Gathered in a small holiday village you find our traditional camping cabins and the winterized self-catering cabins, which provide good comfort during both pre- and post-season. For those of you who love to camp but still want a little extra comfort, we suggest you try Glamping á la Kerstins!

Newly installed solar cell system
We do not have any fossil heating systems at Kerstin’s, but as part of our sustainability work at the campsite, our new solar cell system helps to keep down the cost of electricity, as well as having an energy-saving effect.
We are also looking into the possibility of having a set of batteries in the future to be able to store electricity from the plant.

Two of our cottages, numbers 8 & 9, have undergone a well-deserved update during the winter and will soon be ready for the 2026 season!

Midsummer
We do not organize anything special during the midsummer week-end. However, for those who want to stay with us but still wish to celebrate Midsummer in a traditional way, we will be able to refer to several places nearby to visit during the day. At Kerstins Camping there are no additional fees for midsummer, instead regular prices applies.

What do our guests think of Kerstins camping?
A very beautiful, quiet and natural campsite. A lovely place to relax. We have everything we need here, including a large and very well-equipped kitchen. The toilets and showers are perfectly fine and very clean. All in all… we were completely satisfied. The little cabins are also very cosy and have everything you need! We were here once before in 2016 and had to ask ourselves if this was really the same campsite. It was very nice here even back then. Today, the place is barely recognisable… very nicely restructured👍 Best regards to the staff.

Ein sehr sehr schöner, ruhiger und naturbelassener Campingplatz. Ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen. Uns fehlt hier an nichts, grosse und sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. WC und Duschen völlig in Ordnung und sehr sauber. Alles in allem…wir waren rundum zufrieden. Auch die kleinen Hütten sind sehr kuschelig und auch hier fehlt es an nichts! Wir waren 2016 schon einmal hier und mussten uns fragen ob es dieser Campingplatz wirklich war. Schon damals war es sehr schön hier. Heute ist der Platz kaum wiederzuerkennen…sehr sehr schön umstrukturiert

We spent 4 nights here in the beautiful, quiet place. Despite a lot of rain, we were able to do a lot. Vännern, Sunnanå marina with hike, Rostock, Åmäl, beautiful city on the water, cycling, etc. The place is very clean and well maintained with everything that goes with it.😊👍👍👍👍👍

Wir haben 4nächte hier auf dem schönen ruhigen Platz verbracht .trotz viel Regen konnten wir vieles unternehmen. Vännern sunnana Yachthafen mit Wanderung das Rostock Ämäl schöne Stadt am Wasser radfahren usw .Der Platz ist mit allem was dazugehört top sauber und gepflegt .😊👍👍👍👍👍gerne immer wieder .

Heerlijk rustig gelegen camping met mooie ruime plaatsen. Gelegen bij een boerderij en tussen graanvelden en bossen.
A very beautiful campsite surrounded by nature. You can take your dog for lovely walks on mowed grass trails in the forest. The motorhome pitches are very nice and everything is very clean. Highly recommended.

Ein sehr schöner Campingplatz in der Natur. Man kann mit Hund sehr schön auf gemähten Gras Wanderwegen im Wald spazieren gehen. Die wohnmobil Stellplätze sind sehr schön und alles ist sehr sauber. Empfehlenswert

2025. Is it wise to return after a first, very positive experience? Given the ideal location, we decided to visit this campsite again this year. Same cottage, same beautiful surroundings. The review below does not need to be changed.
2023. Nice little campsite, very beautifully situated. Nice access road too. We had a slightly larger cabin with its own bathroom. Nice after a long journey. The cabin was semi-detached, but we weren’t bothered by the neighbours. The cabin was clean and good. The general sanitary facilities were also fine. You can explore nature from the campsite.

2025. Is het verstandig om na een eerste, zeer positieve ervaring terug te komen? Gezien de ideale ligging besloten we dit jaar toch weer deze camping te bezoeken. Zelfde huisje, zelfde prachtige omgeving. De review hieronder hoeft niet aangepast.
2023. Leuke kleine camping, erg mooi gelegen. Leuk toegangs weggetje ook. Wij hadden een iets grotere hut met eigen badkamertje. Lekker na een lange reis. Hut was geschakeld, maar geen last gehad van de buren.
Hut was schoon en goed. Het algemene sanitair gebouw was ook prima.
Vanaf de camping kan je de natuur in.
