Camping with your dog

Welcome!

At Kerstin’s camping you can relax and enjoy the summer together with your four-legged family members right at natures doorstep!  Whether you live in a motorhome, caravan, tent or prefer to stay in a cottage, we have room for everyone and dogs are welcome in all cottages, (for an additional fee).

Activities

On the campsite area there is a well-maintained 2 km long jogging trail for excursions and nice forest walks. There are also other fantastic hiking trails to discover in Dalsland. For instance Kroppefjällsleden that runs through one of West Sweden’s largest wilderness areas and is only a 40 minutes’ drive from Kerstin’s campsite.

Keep in mind, that in nature during the period 1/3 – 20/8 there is a leash requirement and dogs are not allowed to run loose. This is to protect nesting birds and mammals with young. In cases where the hike takes you through nature reserves and pastures, the dog must always be on a leash.

Ask at the reception for more tips on excursions, or take a look at West Sweden’s website:

Swimming with dogs

On hot summer days, you can go for a refreshing swim and cool off in one of Dalsland’s lovely lakes. For more information about dog-friendly lakes and beaches: Dog beaches in Dalsland

Do I need to have my dog on a leash at the campsite?

Inside the campsite area, the owner is responsible for ensuring that the dog is on a leash and under supervision. If you would like to put up a small enclosure for the dog inside your rented camping pitch, that is fine. The playground and mini-golf are dog-free zones, but on a leash the dog is welcome to join on the side.
