If you want to get active at the campsite, you can challenge each other to mini-golf or take a nice walk or run on our, nicely landscaped 2 km long exercise track, in the forest next door. It’s an easy way to experience nature that is close at hand at Kerstin\u2019s. In the spring, the wood anemones light up the paths, and in late summer and autumn the forest offers both berries and mushrooms.<\/p>\n

Together with the children, you can combine the morning on the playground with a breakfast picnic in the grass, or you can just be and enjoy the tranquility of the relaxing courtyard environment.<\/p>\n

Why not let the mobile home\/car rest for the day and take a bike ride to explore the surroundings? We rent out both adult and youth bikes and helmets and child seats are of course available to borrow. It is about 2 km to Mellerud city center and shopping center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hiking \u2013 active relaxation<\/strong><\/p>\n

If active relaxation is more tempting, there are fantastic hiking trails to discover in Dalsland, whether you prefer shorter or longer trips. For example, Kroppefj\u00e4ll, one of West Sweden’s largest wilderness areas, offers a total of 100 km of well-marked hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty.<\/p>\n

Cycling<\/strong><\/p>\n

The West Sweden website<\/a> has amazing tips for cycling in Dalsland, whether you prefer gravel cycling, singletracks, MTB\u00a0 – and also information about Camp Dalsland<\/a>, which organises outdoor challenges, cycling competitions and fitness races.<\/p>\n

Fishing and trolling<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are plenty of opportunities to fish in Mellerud municipality. In the smaller lakes, you can catch both perch, pike, rainbow trout, trout and other on the hook, while Lake V\u00e4nern also offers salmon. Combining a hiking trip with fishing is for many hikers the definition of a perfect days activity!<\/p>\n
